The Ghana Movie Industry for some time now has become a shadow of its former self. The once vibrant industry which was basically a honeycomb for persons who upholds the dream of acting has become what many describe as a skunk spray.

While others compare it to the dead sea, renowned entertainment critic Amandzeba Phiiphi Smmyth has described it as hospitalised, precisely in a state of coma waiting to be resuscitated.

In a panel discussion on Ash 101.1fm entertainment show, the celebrated journalist stated that the industry lacks regulations to boost the production of high-quality movies, expand its market etc.

“Our movie industry got crushed due to lack of thinkers and regulations. They were only running a business, not an industry. It is not beyond them to revive. It is not dead but in a coma”, he said.
