The One Show is back on Viasat 1

The fifth cycle of The One Show is set to return on Monday November 12, following an immense success from the fourth season.

Over the past couple of years, it has proved to be a benchmark in Television talk shows in Ghana. The new season, promises to make greater strides, with a LIVE show from Monday to Thursday at 5pm.

2012 RTP Award-winner, Joselyn Dumas, returns with co-host PY Addo Boateng for the revamped new season. Together, the duo will surpass all expectation with our fresh segments such as: • ‘PY’s Day,’ where he will be in the driver’s seat every Thursday discussing topical issues. • Unsung Heroes is a motivational and inspirational segment where Joselyn and P.Y celebrate and recognise unsung heroes every Thursday across Ghana and giving back to them for their hard work which is sponsored by La Villa Boutique Hotels. • Joselyn will also share a motivational quote each day called ‘Top Tweet’.

We believe the introduction of new segments in The One Show is definitely going to draw an increased audience share, interactivity, and also involve the audience, which will attract more viewers from a larger scope.

Unlike previous seasons, the show will be aired LIVE from Viasat 1 studio in Labone. The set has been rescaled and redesigned with better colours to add more excitement to the show. Viewers now get a bigger platform to join the show by posting comments, anniversary wishes, and any celebration requests via social media network (facebook and twitter – The One Show), which will be read LIVE on air.

Since its premiere in August 2010, The One Show has received tremendous feedback from viewers, which has reflected in an impressive share of audience, according to research. The show has by far featured a tall list of personalities such as politicians, entertainment and showbiz moguls, unsung heroes, veteran broadcasters, human rights activists, social commentators and many more.

Catch the premiere this Monday, November 12, 2012 at 5pm on Viasat 1.
