Gospel Musician, Ohemaa Mercy has advised her colleague gospel artists to make God the center of their craft and forget about money because they are called to evangelize.
Ohemaa Mercy who was speaking to Accra-based Joy FM indicated that her colleagues should not see the industry as a lucrative business venture but rather an avenue to get the world to understand the goodness of God.
She said "It's a big problem that some people are actually in this [gospel] work because of money, which is very bad. This happens when they want to listen to man’s voice and not God’s”.
Ohemaa indicated that if Gospel Musicians could focus on the word and show people the light, the power of God will watch over their activities and they will not suffer for wealth.
She used the opportunity to advise all gospel artists on the company they keep because that makes and unmakes an individual.
