There are big things people do for love even though it might not be the best decision, but for Ghanaian soul musician, Sherifa Gunu getting married to her child’s fathers is the craziest thing she did for love.

“The craziest thing I have ever done for love is getting married to my child’s father.”

In an interview on ‘Pae Mu Ka’, a segment on Kasapa Entertainment, she disclosed that though people have different views when it comes to relationship and marriage, for her she is very critical on the repercussion of the choices she makes.

She also noted that the most unpleasant decision she has taken is her contract with Glo which she reveals still hunts her because of the good opportunities she has lost in the past for making such a wrong decision.

When asked how much of sex is good for couples, she replied that “Too much of sex isn’t good but sex is good.”

Sherifa Gunu revealed that her return to the music scene will be better than before because of her dynamism and style of singing.

“My secret is that Sherifa can’t fall, I’m coming back with more zeal than before.”

She is described by many as crowd shaker, puller and a real performer when it comes to singing and dancing. Sherifa Gunu will always leave an impression in the minds of any one who comes into contact with her.

After she left the classroom, she took part in various dancing competition at the regional and national level.

She was at one time the dance champion for the northern region, first runner up for the 1998 National Dance Championship, then known as The Embassy Pleasure.

She moved on steadily until 2003 when she had the opportunity to take part in the hip life dance championship.

The likes of king Ayisoba, Terry Bonchaka were among a host of other talented dancers and musicians that were discovered in that competition.

She emerged as first runner up to Bonchaka, led to a series of collaborations among her, Terry Bonchaka and Ayisoba. We performed at various events and functions.

Sherifa later did some backings for artistes like Kojo Antwi, Amakye Dede, Daddy Lumba and also recently Nana Acheampong. She has two albums to her credit so far.

‘Pae Mu Ka’ is a new segment on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM, it seeks to delve into the real life situations of Ghanaian celebrities. Kasapa Entertainment is hosted by Radio and Television Award nominee, Kojo Preko Dankwa every Saturday from 2pm to 4pm.
