The genesis of Sarkodie - Samini - Bandana beef

As every fan of Sarkodie waits for a reply song from him regarding the recent attack by Dancehall/Reggae musician Samini in his ‘Pink Sheet’ song, a lot are still wondering why Samini would attack Sarkodie and Shatta Wale.

We all know Shatta wale insulted Samini and Kaakie right after the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards but there were issues before that awards. GHStreets found out Shatta Wale has been denied a lot of opportunities due to the man Samini and his reaction at the music awards shows the frustrations he has been through.

He said exclusively on Adom Fm in an interview with Pope Skinny that he use to smoke with Samini and that he was a good friend but do not know what happened. He further stated this frustrations which Samini; he said for instance when Movado came to Ghana he wasn’t contacted and it was because Samini said he would not perform on the same stage with him (Shatta Wale) or if he was put on the bill. “A lot of promoters call me and ask me to resolve my problem with Samini if any”, he revealed.

With Sarkodie, people are still wondering why? It is what Sammy Forson said on the entertainment show ‘Talk Showbiz’ hosted by Flexy of YFm or Samini wants to ride on the Fame of Sarkodie to rise?

Well to my reader who did not watch the show, Sammy Forson; Sarkodie’s Manager said on that show during a discussion of ‘Samini’s Alingo cover’ that the song was unnecessary and did not expect such a song from Samini. He further stated that Samini was trying to ride on the fame of P-Square since he was fading away from the system; Bull Dog of Bull Haus disagreed with him because “Time Bomb” was making waves in Ghana.

Bull Dog said what Samini did was creative and also defending Azonto as a Ghanaian thing but Sammy Forson saw it below the standards of Samini and very ‘Childish’. No wonder Samini tweeted “These fakers who live off Azonto glory couldn't even defend it wen it got jacked. #truth hurts” and this message seem to be for Sarkodie who make his major hit from an azonto song titled ‘You go Kill Me’.
