Ghanaian artiste, Kuami Eugene has said that the Ghana music industry is not as equitable as the public perceives.
He maintained that some artistes resort to any means necessary, whether positive or negative, to realize their ambitions and achieve their goals.
"The music industry no be how the fans dey see am. It's a bloody game now. People will do anything, pull any string for validation. Ay3 tan!!!!!" he wrote on X.
Eugene's comments came after the conclusion of the 25th Telecel Ghana Music Awards.
While the intent of his statement is unclear, some netizens speculate that his competitor, Stonebwoy, winning the Artiste of the Year award might have prompted his comment.
Meanwhile, Eugene won two awards at the 2024 TGMA. He won the Best Highlife Artiste and Best Music Video of the Year.
The TGMA was held at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, June 1, 2024, where musicians were awarded for their works over the past year.
