Renowned Broadcaster who will be hosting Abusua 96.5fm morning show Kwame Adinkra alias ‘Apotitimati’ has dispelled allegations that he left his former place due to fear of competition.

“There is no competition in Accra. I love listening to Kumasi radio stations; I never enjoyed listening to Accra radio stations. Sometimes when you are close to the news, you become lazy, when you are closer to the Flagstaff House, Members of Parliament (MPs), getting resource persons is not a problem in Accra. Accra was making me a lazy person. It has never been easy in Kumasi; anybody who moves from Accra to Kumasi at least has some successes. Sometimes it takes a month to get a Minister to talk on your show, so when you get the Minister you need to ask quality questions.

“Everything is centred in Accra, President John Mahama meets the press from time to time in Accra, how many times have you heard they are selecting Journalists from Kumasi. We needed to be part of that experience,” he told Naa Klordey, host of Ultimate fm’s E-Review.

Adinkra who used to work with Accra-based Atinka fm has returned to Kumasi with the show dubbed ‘Abusua Nkommo’.

Abusua fm which shares the same premises with Ultimate fm at Danyame is a new baby to the media outlets of the EIB group which include Ultimate fm, Starr fm, Gh one, Kasapa fm, Live fm, Empire fm, Agoo fm and the Daily Heritage.

Abusua fm which is a mass radio (Twi) will cover programmes such as politics, sports, business, entertainment, motivation etc.

He promised to be neutral in his delivery and will never relent on his effort in fighting for the best for the Ashanti region.

He has worked with radio stations such as Fox fm, Angel fm, Kapital radio and Accra-based Atinka fm.
