There is nothing wrong with my stage performance – Bisa KDei

Bisa Kdei born Ronald Kweku Dei has described as unfortunate assertions by some colleagues in the music industry including Kwabena Kwabena and K.K Fosu that his stage performance is terrible.

The ‘Brother Brother’ hit maker has over the years received heavy backlash from personalities like Kwame Gyan, Francis Doku and Akwasi Aboagye for his stage performance which they all described as terrible.

But speaking to Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay Show, Bisa KDei said it was unfortunate that his colleagues will sit on radio to badmouth him, instead of calling him personally to educate him.

According to Bisa KDei, although he respects the decision by Kwabena Kwabena to reject a collaboration with him, the comment about his performance was uncalled for and in bad taste.

“I won’t sit anywhere and talk about anyone. I will never do that so why should he do that. You are my brother, we are in the same industry, so if you see something wrong with me, why not tell me personally. We even have an adage that you never know what you are doing wrong until you are told. You have my number so why not just prompt me. I don’t get it and I have a problem with that.

For K.K Fosu, I was disappointed. What he said is just a perception. If you see something wrong why not just tell me. He is a legend in the industry and I respect him a lot but that statement about me was not necessary.”

Answering further questions on his inability to pick an award at the recently held VGMA, Bisa KDei said although he was disappointed, he is over it.

He told Delay that, he came out to speak on the issue because his fans were disappointed in the turn out, but he is confident of an award next year.

“The awards is like a game we play, sometimes someone can be two steps ahead of you. You don’t have to make music because you want an award. I admit I was disappointed when I won nothing. But it took me a few hours to get over it. I saw how my fan were disappointed so I tweeted telling them not to worry because we will have better luck next time. The scheme was made for us(musicians), so they don’t have to worry when someone doesn’t win every time.
