This is a foolish statement - Bridget Otoo slams LilWin over the demise of 3-year-old boy

Bridget Otoo Bridget Otoo

Media personality Bridget Otoo has criticized Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, for his statements following the tragic accident that led to the death of Tawiah Ampomah, a three-year-old boy.

She expressed bewilderment at LilWin's decision to proceed to his movie premiere at the KNUST auditorium while the accident victims were in dire need of assistance.

Otoo urged the Ghana Police Service to conduct comprehensive investigations and take decisive action against the actor if found responsible for the accident that resulted in the young boy's death.

“This is a very foolish statement from a halfwit who is as idiotic as the character they display on screen. This clown even went to the premiere of his movie. @GhPolice do your job and arrest this clown who thinks he’s acting when a life of a boy has been cut short and a family is grieving a loss they would never recover from!” she wrote on X.

Her comments followed a statement from LilWin's management team refuting claims that they had ignored the other accident victims to attend the movie premiere.

The statement explained that their attention was divided because one of their team members was also critically injured and fighting for his life.

Otoo disagreed with this explanation, suggesting that an apology would have been more appropriate than a defense.

Background

The news of LilWin's car accident on May 25, 2024, profoundly affected the Ghanaian community.

The incident occurred in front of Grace Baptist Church in Amakom, Kumasi, where LilWin's Benz was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle, injuring him and two others.

All injured individuals, including LilWin, were taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital's Accident and Emergency Unit.

At the time of the accident, LilWin was on his way to an event.

Despite his injuries, LilWin attended the premiere of his new film, "A Country Called Ghana," at the KNUST CCB Auditorium later that day.

The police are conducting investigations to determine the cause of the accident and to bring closure to the case.

In the meantime, LilWin's management has pledged to support the bereaved family after the child's passing.
