With waving hands raised high, heads looking up to the heavens and loud voices singing along, thousands of Christians and gospel music lovers joined the Harvest International Ministries to worship and praise God on Good Friday.
The Harvest Praise concert, held at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre, featured international gospel singer Bob Fitts and his wife, Kathy, who gave an electrifying live performance.
The audience clapped and danced to some of his classics including ‘Glory, Glory Lord’, ‘Blessed Be The Lord God Almighty’ and ‘Take My Healing To The Nations’.
Ghanaian gospel musicians, Ceccy Twum and Ernest Opoku as well as the Harvest Gospel Choir also thrilled the audience with some powerful melodies leaving the audience dancing their hearts out.
The atmosphere was so charged that the audience could hardly sit still as the show wore on.
The President of Harvest International Ministries, Rev. Fitzgerald Odonkor, in a short sermon, told the audience the only way man could live was by looking to Jesus because he had conquered death.
He said Christians must learn to say ‘No’ to sin and ‘Yes’ to righteousness and forgiveness.
In support of Citi FM’s orphanage project, donations were made by the audience as well as Bob and Kathy Fitts.
In its 14th edition, the Harvest Praise concert is an annual event organized by the Harvest International Ministries and was sponsored by a number of organizations including the Multimedia Group.
