Three more draws to end Freedom To Dream the promotion

Airtel Ghana has given out GHC187,500 since the start of the Freedom to Dream (FTD) promotion five weeks ago, out of a total of GHC400,000 expected to be won by the end of the promotion. This means the ultimate winners selected to play the Money Show in subsequent weeks stand the chance to win more cash prizes than their predecessors.

So far, a total of 40 ultimate winners have played the Money Show and have won various cash prizes while over 120 others have won other prizes including instant cash prize of GHC 500, Nokia handsets and airtime.

Four weeks into the promotion, the Money Show took an interesting turn when one ultimate winner took home the first of the highest prizes of GHC 25,000.

Last Tuesday, another set of 8 ultimate winners took home attractive prizes after playing the Money Show. They included a 26-year-old trader and a 29-year-old electrician, Prince Agyei and Nicholas Banitsi respectively who won GHc7, 500 each.

In his excitement, Mr. Banitsi who plies his business at Bantama, Kumasi, said “I have never been this lucky; that is the reason why I dismissed it when I was first informed. I only believed it upon confirmation when I visited an Airtel office in Kumasi”.

Others who won GHC5,000 each were John Kojo Annan, a driver of a Road Construction Company in Santa Maria, a suburb of Accra; Alhassan Tanko, from Sunyani; Clement Ansah, a sand supplier at Konongo; David Domor, a Naval officer in Sekondi and Adjei Benjamin K. Anyaa, a technician at Hyundai Motors in Accra. An Accra-based electrician Nutsukpo Norfeli Komla also walked away with GHC 2,500.

Speaking on the promotion, Tara Squire, Marketing Manager, Usage and Retention, Airtel Ghana said, "We derive satisfaction in seeing most people who, until now, were at the base of the financial scale, use the FTD loyalty reward promotion to enter into a new world of financial freedom ." “It's even more satisfying when some of these winners give part of their win to society by way of donations to orphanages and hospitals, as most of them are doing. This spreads the benefit of the promotion wider and puts smiles on more faces.”

Mr. Squire explained that the promotion was open to both new and existing Airtel customers with an active SIM card and that customers get one entry anytime they recharge with GHC2 or talk for a minimum of 50Gp within 24 hours. The FTD Money Show screens on TV3 on Fridays at 8:30pm., 6:00pm on Saturdays and Sundays on ETV. Viasat shows it at 4:30pm on Wednesdays and 7:30pm on Sundays. You can also catch the show on Saturdays at 7:00pm and 6:30pm on Sundays on Metro TV, while TV Africa broadcasts it on Saturdays at 9:00pm and Sundays at 8:30pm.
