Music icon Tic, has congratulated the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zylofon Media, Nana Appiah Mensah and his team, in an open letter for his "Invasion " of the Nigerian entertainment market.
For him, considering his experience in the industry and what he's done beyond the borders of Ghana, it would be prudent for him to contribute to the discussion.
The Pene Mame hit maker believes the move was right and a big statement for Ghana Music and shows he is ready to take risk. . According to Tic, putting such a show in Nigeria comes with a huge cost, and must be commended and with a lot of NAM1s in the system, music from the country can cross borders.
The music Icon indicated that he detest those chastising the artistes from Ghana for lack of cheers from the crowd.
He said the plan to bill 2face from Nigeria was a good one, however, they should have billed a legend from Ghana to match up his artistry to have a proper representation of the industry here since it was a great ground breaking.
He noted that they should have factored some Ghanaian musicians who have crossed and made a mark in Nigeria to spiced it up.
Tic was of the view that what happened in Nigerian should be a lesson for Ghanaian musicians, adding that when entering a new territory, "be able to test the waters and pull a surprise craft on the stage to wow the crowd regardless".
He urged the A&R of the label to ensure artistes put up more stage craft to create and some buzz around their performance , especially when on a new territory.
Tic admitted that the industry needed people with financial power to spend, but they must be supported by all and sundry to succeed in their quest.
He urged Ghanaians not to laugh at the situation but look at the big picture for the future.
