Kumawood, Ghana’s largest movie industry has seen quite a lot of talented people as Kumawood actors and actresses.

Some of Kumawood’s best actors and actresses started acting right before the Ghana Theater came into existence.

Now that the institution is at its peak, releasing more than 50 movies per month, there are actresses who have graced it up to this level and are worth mentioning.

The list below outlines the best 10 Kumawood actresses of all times.

Some have featured in more than 100 movies hence have made their faces so popular while some others are on the list because of their natural acting skills rather than reading and obviously acting out written manuscripts.

10. Benedicta Gafah

She is one of the fastest grown actresses in the Kumawood industry. Miss Gafah born to Mr. and Mrs. Kwaku Badu in the Ashanti Region, is a former student of Presbyterian Secondary School in Kumasi, Benedicta has plans obtaining a degree in Marketing.

7. Christiana Awuni

Christiana Awuni started her acting career with Concert Party and TV series ‘Cantata’, but was later introduced to the movie scenes by Danfo B.A production for about a decade now.

The 47-year-old mother of two, Christiana Awuni has played in movies such as Sika Nti, Dufie, Maso Aware, Ware Me and Metim Nea Metim. She and Bernard Nyarko commonly known as Bishop are secretly warming up to tie the knot.

Rose Afrakoma Mensah, known in showbiz as Akua Atta Kyeiwaa born on 1963 is 52 years. she is Ghana’s version of Patience Ozokwor. Akua Attaa, a mother of two girls, got into acting some eighteen years ago, and her magnificent way of interpreting roles given to her in movies are so vivid that the audience is often carried away from an imaginary ground into absolute paranoia.
