‘Top FM’ has launched a novelty reality show, aimed at unearthing talents for the radio industry.
The show dubbed ‘Top Star 2014 Reality Talent Show’ seeks to develop the hidden talent in young aspiring presenters who want to embark on the journey to stardom with their unique presentations ranging from sports, musical show, talk show, news and preaching.
The reality show is hosted by a couple of the station’s prolific presenters; and airs every Saturday at 2:00pm.
The final three contestants to emerge after weeks of grilling and eviction by a panel of judges and listeners’ votes would be offered a contract of employment by the station in addition to other mouth-watering prizes.
Evicted participants of the show would also be treated to an eviction party at a notable night club in Accra.
Speaking in an interview, Managing Partner in-charge of Programmes and Content at Top Media Group (Top FM and Top TV), Ekourba Gyasi, said, “This is just the beginning of better things to come as the station plans to turn events into a life experience as we touch base with our cherished listeners out there.”
He encouraged listeners to make a date with the contestants every Saturday from 2:00pm as they refresh them with pleasant and unique presentations on radio.
Ekourba Gyasi also took the opportunity to encourage the numerous fans of the show to vote for their favourite contestants as that is the only way to retain them in the competition.
