Mr Magnus Rex Daquah, Chief Operating Officer of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of CAN 2008 who disclosed this to the GNA Sports said the appearance of the popular local artists is to give the programme a blend of culture, art, music and sports to exhibit memories of the rich experience that Ghana has brought onto football.
Also in attendance in the evening's event is a display of rich and scintillating fashion exhibition of clothing and hair styles by ace designers such as Kofi Ansah and Mawuli Kofi Okudzetu amidst the backdrop of pomp and pageantry provided by Mike Amon Kwafo, an artist and stage designer.
Mr Danquah said each country will have the opportunity of seeing her story being enacted during the occasion since the continent has identical genres of culture and sound football history.
The Chief Operating Officer said 1,500 guests are expected at the function will witness the enactment of the excitement that Ghana has brought upon the game of football throughout her 50 years of affiliation with the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) in an atmosphere of rich display of sound, colour and choreography.
