In a bid to fight Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), even before its likely penetration into Ghana -as projected by research, Ghanaian top celebrities has formed a united front, in conjunction with corporate entities- to empower Ghanaians against the deadly disease through educational campaign.
The campaign which is tagged ‘ONE Ghana Uniting Against Ebola Campaign’ has been slated to take place on Saturday, 18th of October, 2014 at the Rawlings Park, Accra. Starting from 8:00am to 10:00am.
ONE Ghana Uniting Against Ebola Campaign, according to findings is a collaborative fight of numbers of corporate organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations, Dalex Finance and Leasing Company Limited (Dalex), United Nations Children and Education Fund (UNICEF), and VM Consult with sole purpose of initiating funds to support the effort of Ghana government in educating-via different mediums-the over 26 million Ghanaian population.
Supports are already pouring-in from Ghanaian top celebrities such as renowned cinematographer-Tonisha Tagoe, Stacy Amoateng, International super model-Victoria Michaels, Sandra Ankobiah, Bola Ray, Miss Malaika contestants, Keche, among others.
According to a press release made available to GhanaWeb entertainment desk, “the urge to initiate this idea is our concern of the severe effect EVD could have on the already struggling economy of Ghana.”
The organizers believe that being “proactive” in taking measures against the prevention of EVD into Ghana is the best; while educating Ghanaians across the ten regions is also- equally important.
The general public is also invited to come out in their numbers to support as the campaign stands to get everyone involved in campaigning against Ebola.
