A delegation of key stakeholders from Ghana’s music industry, consisting representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), and the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), today February 12, have officially called on the family of late dancehall singer Ebony Reigns, to express their condolences to the bereaved family.

Led by Tourism minister Hon. Catherine Afeku, the delegation, which was received by father of the deceased, Nana Poku Kwarteng, expressed their regret at the passing of the singer, whom they refer to as a national asset.

They also committed to contribute their part in ensuring that Ebony is sent of in a manner that is befitting.

Also present at the meeting were MUSIGA boss Bice Oei Kuffour and other executives, Highlife doyen Rex Omar, EIB Network CEO Bola Ray, RuffTown boss Ricky Nana Agyeman (Bullet) among others.

The singer, known privately as Priscilla Opoku – Kwarteng, met her untimely death on Thursday February 8, when the jeep she was traveling in, slammed into an oncoming VIP bus.

The accident, which happened on the Kumasi – Sunyani road, also led to the death of a military officer identified as Francis Atsu Vondee and a female acquaintance identified only as Frankie, who were also onboard the Jeep.
