A man's dream of having a good time with his new found lover turned into a nightmare when he realised his new lover was actually a man dressed like a woman. The man-womna, Nouroun Assimino, an 18-year old unemployed Malian, is said to have dressed like a woman and used a well cut-out piece of foams on his chest which made him look like a woman.
Assimino, who pleaded guilty, was charged with gross indecency when he appeared before the Adjabeng Community Tribunal, chaired by Mrs Jennifer Tagoe.
Inspector John Kweku, the prosecutor, told the tribunal that the complainant, Kwame Ofori, a trader, was visiting a friend when he met Assimino who had dressed like a woman, with make-up and shoes to match. He therefore approached and proposed to 'her'.
The prosecutor said, Ofori went to a hotel at Accra New Town with Assimino and bought some bottles of beer which they both drank. All this while, hardly did Ofori suspect that the person he was dealing with is a man like him, the prosecutor said. After wining and dining, Ofori went to book a room at the hotel and invited his new lover into bed.
The prosecutor said in the room Assimino told Ofori not to touch 'her' breast to which Ofori obliged. However in the process of making love to 'her' Assimino started to scream but Ofori ignored her thinking she was a novice hence her behaviour.
Inspector Kwaku said Ofori later found to his dismay that his lover was having a male organ instead of the female organ.
Ofori, who was shocked, went out and informed the hotel authorities and later handed Assimino over to the Kotobabi Police.
At the police station, Assimino explained that he did that because he was hungry and needed money to buy some food to eat.
The tribunal acquitted and discharged Assimino considering his poor economic situation and the need for him to survive. The tribunal however warned him never to repeat his conduct since there are other decent ways to make ends meet.
After the pronouncement, Assimino took to his heels from the courtroom.
