The current influx of prophets in Ghana has become alarming to the extent that no week passes by without Ghanaians hearing a prophet prophesying.

Prophecies have now become a norm in this country; every year, new set of prophecies from self-acclaimed “powerful” men of God give series of predictions revealing what will happen to celebrities, politicians or any known person.

However, it seems the “God” of these prophets only reveals negative things to them because most of their prophecies are noted to be the doom of celebrities and of politicians.

It’s either God has revealed to them about the death of a person by getting involved in a fatal accident or an ex-president will die and many more if they don’t change their ways or rather see them for special prayers to avert it.

But the confusion is when two prophets prophesy about the same person and their prophecies are in contrast.

The Bible in Matthew 7:15 warned of false prophets indicating that “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves”.

This is why GhanaWeb set out to ask some Ghanaians about their views on prophecies and whether they believe in it or not.

According to them although they believe in prophecies, people must also be wary of false prophets in the country as they are on the rise.
