Since the court ruling yesterday directing businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome to refund to the state GHS 51.2 million, his name "Woyome" has been trending on twitter in Ghana beating Ghana, Supreme Court and even Ebola.
Mr. Woyome was dragged to court by former Attorney General Martin Amidu over judgement debt monies paid him by the state which the court has ruled illegal.
He is therefore required to pay back.
Hashtag "Woyome" has become very popular but behind #letsnotpretend which has a lot of people caught up on the hashtagging to say it as it is.
These are some of the sampled tweets GhanaWeb captured hashtagged "Woyome":
LMAOOOOO Woyome should just visit Ada and join Castro. There's no way he can refund even half of that money. Lord!
