Trust in the Lord not politicians - gospel songstress

Juliana Obeng Juliana Obeng

Budding gospel singer, Juliana Obeng has indicated that she is dedicating her just released 2nd album, ‘Som Nyame yie’ to Ghanaians to focus on depending, worshiping and trust in the Lord for safety than adhere to the ‘everyday promises’ of our politicians as the 2016 election is fast approaching.

According to her, “in the country’s current state of hardship, the government will find all means to keep assuring us (Ghanaians) of the efforts they are putting in to rule the country, therefore, we (Ghanaians) must endeavour to rather look up to God. And that is the motive for my album title, ‘Som Nyame yie’ and other songs on it.”

“We need to worship and depend on the Lord with our whole being and hope for better days ahead than pay attention and that will warrant our faithfulness to the Lord,” she said during an interview with AmaLarbieAfrica.com.

Quoting 1 Thessalonians chapter 5 Vs 17; Juliana Obeng emphasized, “It’s time we pray without ceasing, and worship the Lord wholeheartedly to heighten our faith in the Most High than giving all our attention to these politicians.”

“As it stands,” she continued, “disheartening mishaps that occurs in the country easily dies off without an alert, and returns with new issues; but if not for the Lord, where would we have been?”

“With songs like ‘Som Nyame yie’, ‘Aseda’, ‘Meda Yehowa ase’, ‘Behold the man’, etc. on the album, listeners are sure to have their zeal of worshiping the Lord Almighty heightened,” she assured.
