It’s rare for Stonebwoy and Kuami Eugene to be treated like underdogs wherever they perform within the walls of Ghana yet the artistes received a real silent treatment in Nigeria.

The two performed at the just ended Soundcity MVP Awards which was held on last Saturday, January 11, 2020, at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.

The silent treatment was so intense that users of Twitter couldn’t resist as they kept flooding their timelines with series of posts.

@Carlsbe35812774 wrote that; "Is about time we also stop patronizing Nigerian musicians".

“Nigerians just don't know wassup... That's their behaviour and it's not surprising that their so called self-acclaimed giant of Africa country is regressing. No wonder!!!” user @Ramsbery_Ramsey noted.

‘@kennyfly77’ rebutted: “How do u expect Nigerians to vibe wit you, when you sing what they don’t understand..We even preffer patapa self..What stops you from bringing Sark, Becca and King Promise?”

Ighodalo85 also tweeted that; “I thought you Ghanaians said your Ghana artists murdered Nigerians acts on AfroNation because y’all we're not feeling the vibe .Now you know the difference between home and away.”

Meanwhile it will be recalled in 2018 that Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale and other Zylofon Media signees experienced this unpleasant situation at a concert that was aimed at celebrating Menzgold’s entry into Nigeria.

The reception was so bad that popular hiplife artiste, Sarkodie sympathized with his colleagues and also opened up about the challenges he encountered at Nigeria before he was accepted.

“I use to have very bad reception and response from them. I was known by the industry but they control what to listen to. In America, they know Afrobeat. They have their territories guarded. When you go there it’s rare to find our songs on TV. I had worse and I remember going to the club and not even a person waved,” he told Andy in an interview on Hitz FM’s Day Break programme.
