Accra, Oct. 24, GNA - The British Council has lined up a number of programmes to commemorate this year's Black History Month (BHM) celebration.
The BHM, held throughout the month of October in Britain, to promote knowledge of Black History and experience, disseminates information on positive Black contributions to British society and heightens confidence and awareness of black people in their cultural heritage.
A statement in Accra on Monday by the British Council said the two-week celebration starts from Monday, October 24 to November 5 with art exhibitions; films shows and live performances by Ghanaian and British Artistes based in Accra. It is under the theme: "British Garden Tea Party".
