Founder and president of the Upcoming Artiste Association of Ghana (UAAG), Ama Adomah Obidiaba popularly known in the media fraternity as Ama Yopoo, has called on Ghanaians and fans of musicians, Kidi, Kuami Eugene and Kwesi Arthur to join the association in prayer in an effort to avert an impending calamity targeted at the artists.

This follows a revelation by Prophet Nigel Gaisie, leader of the True Word Prophetic Fire Ministry on December 31, 2018, that the New Year will be a bad year for the trio. Although Kidi and Kuami Eugene have openly expressed their disappointment at the way and manner of the prophet’s delivery of the said prophecy, they have insisted that through prayer, they can surmount the doomsday prophecy.

Speaking to ghanaweb.com on the matter, Ama Yopoo stressed on the importance of coming together to intercede on behalf of the artists. According to her, while the prophecy may not have specifically been about death, prayers are still necessary since the three upcoming artistes have been a huge influence in the music and entertainment industry after their raise to fame.

“Bad year can mean accident, or a decline in the patronage of their music or even death and that is why we want to pray and avert it. Looking at Kwesi Arthur, Kidi and Kuami Eugene, we know how far they have risen not just in Ghana here but across the world and we know how blessed they are; which makes it very important for us to help prevent any calamity from befalling them.

So on 26th of January, we are inviting everyone who likes these guys to join us so we go against that prophecy. It must not come to pass and it will never come to pass.” She stressed.

Ama Yopoo also advised prophets to be more discrete in the delivery of prophecies so it does not cause fear and panic.

“Currently in Ghana, we come across prophets giving out prophecy without any direction and giving it publicly too. Some prophets in the bible like Isaiah and Jeremiah never gave public prophecies, they spoke to people individually and that is what we expect from the prophets here in Ghana.

If you see something disturbing about anyone especially a celebrity, call the person, talk to the person and tell the person what to do about it. Yes, the prophecy is already in, so all we can do now is to pray against it.”

Since the 31st December all night service, many pastors and men of god have received backlash from the public because of numerous death prophecies concerning some prominent people in the society. Founder of Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, Rev Owusu Bempah had prophesied about the death of Former President John Agyekum Kufuor and his wife, Former President John Dramani Mahama and Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.

His prophecy concerning the death of the National Chief Imam Sheik Nuhu Sharabutu,, also led to some Muslim youth vandalizing some properties at his church premises. While, the National Peace Council and the Christian Council of Ghana have called for calm, other pastors have come out to publicly condemn these prophecies and asked Ghanaians to ignore them.
