Kumawood actor/musician, Kwadwo Nkansah popularly referred to as Lilwin has denied reports on various entertainment portals indicating that he has been awarded by the founder and leader of International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, sammykaymedia.com has learnt.
In an exclusive interview on Neat FM’s “Showbiz Time” with Sammy Kumah(Sammy Kay), Lilwin denied being awarded by the popular Angel Obinim adding that he received a special recognition from the United Nations (UN), hence the award was presented to him on stage by Bishop Daniel Obinim.
“It was a UN award not Obinim award as circulated in the media, Obinim only presented the award to me on stage…..Lilwin stated.
The “ladder” hit maker further explained that, “I was awarded together with some prominent individuals in the country including chiefs, pastors, etc”.
Lilwin added that, the ceremony dubbed ACCP awards was held at Obinim’s church auditorium .
Lilwin emerged winner of the Excellence Sustainable Development Achievement Award during the ceremony.
He was presented with a plaque as well as a medal .
An overly elated Lilwin, obviously did not leave without dishing out doses of his comedy.
After thanking them profusely, danced to his Ladder song with the help of the instrumentalists in the church.
He also dedicated the award to the former CEO of COCOBOD, Dr. Stephen Opuni, before walking off to a raucous applause from the congregation.
