Ghanaian musician Medikal has rendered an unqualified apology to colleague singer Kofi Kinaata for not showing up at his concert as promised.
Medikal, who was performing at his Beyond Kontrol concert on December 26, 2024, explained that he was booked to show up at the Made in Taadi Concert hosted by Kofi Kinaata on December 24.
Unfortunately, due to some issues, he forgot.
"Recently, I was supposed to go to Takoradi and play a show for my brother Kofi Kinaata, but because of something, I forgot. But it's like my brother is in his feelings, so he unfollowed me on social media," he said.
Medikal apologized to Kinaata, stating, "I think Kofi Kinaata is someone I love, and I am sure he is in his feelings. If he is watching me or if this goes viral, my people in Takoradi should know that I love him and I am sorry."
Medikal also promised the "Things Fall Apart" hitmaker that he would be available to perform at next year's "Made In Taadi" concert if given the chance.
"My people in Takoradi know I am sorry, and this wasn't intentional. Next year we can do Made In Taadi much better and greater, so you should follow me back because I am your brother and I will not unfollow you," he added.
Kofi Kinaata, on December 24, 2024, held his annual concert in Takoradi titled "Made In Taadi," where numerous Ghanaian musicians like Medikal, Fameye, Kwaw Kese, Eno Barony, and others were billed to perform.
