Uproot Your Church - Landlord

Mr. L.A. Ofosu, an elder of the New Achimota Estates Presbyterian Church has ordered the church to uproot its building from a piece of land he donated for God’s work or face unpleasant consequences.

Two weeks ago, Mr. Ofosu walked calmly to the building site and ordered the construction workers to stop building immediately. He is quoted as saying “Tell whoever brought you here to uproot this structure and take it wherever they want or face unpleasant consequences”.

Last year Mr. Ofosu threatened to take his land back after he was suspended from taking the Holy communion with two other senior members of the church. He was also removed from the interim management committee of the church.

The two others are Mrs. Aforo Asiamah-Agyei and Mr H. Nkum. Three weeks ago elders and the priest in charge of the church tried to persuade Mr Ofosu to abandon his threat to no avail. What is baffling observers is why the Church decided to start the building project when the land had not been properly transferred to it.
