Urban Festival, an initiative by Chali Muzik and Idea123 with support from National Commission on Culture and Bad Man Family has been launched with a call on the youth and all industry players to throw their weight behind the program.
Aimed at educating, developing, promoting and supporting young folks especially those at the tertiary level to realize their potentials in music, the event was launched at French Fingers, Monday.
In attendance were the Director of Operations at Chali Muzik, Kwesi Amoako; Chief Executive Officer of Idea123gh, Abdul Abass; Director of Creative Arts, responsible for Programmes & Projects at the Commission for National Culture, Socrate Safo; rapper, Tinny as well as dancehall artiste, Epixode.
Organisers explained that although other talents in various educational sectors can benefit from the event, those at the tertiary level appear more organized, a reason they are the targets.
The maiden edition is slated for March 3, 2018 at the National Theatre. Activities lined up include workshop, exhibition and a musical concert.
