Actress Fella Makafui has encouraged the youth to take advantage of social media to boost their productivity.
In an interview on The Day Show on TV3, she advised the youth against spending time trying to emulate celebrities on social media and instead, to use the platform to create and grow a business.
"Instead of being on blogs or probably one celebrity's page trying to be like them, create a page. Whatever you want to do, start something. It may not be easy from the beginning, but just do it," she said.
Fella Makafui also shared personal business insights, revealing that a significant portion of her income (90%) comes from online customers.
She revealed that despite owning physical stores, she finds the digital space more lucrative.
"I have to give a piece of advice. I would say that for all these four businesses that I've mentioned, I tell you what, 90% of the money I make is online. I have physical shops, but it's hard.
"It's only one business that, you know, we tend to see customers, but all the businesses are online.
"We are so blessed with social media now. I don't even want anybody to underestimate that," she said.
Acknowledging the challenges of starting out, she motivated her audience to take the leap and begin their entrepreneurial journey.
