Nominees for the 19th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is here and so is the controversy.
Dancehall act Jupitar after the announcement of the Dancehall categories was not happy with schemes decision to exclude his Clowns record which won an award in the UK.
He tweeted to his 77,000 followers;
“VGMA board, y’all bunch a idiots and hypocrites, I f%$#ing submitted this time and it was a song that actually won big in U.K. (Clowns ), keep it up”
“Y’all jokers, and you fucking up the game big time, so a song that won big in U.K. Didn’t stand the chance for even just a nomination??? Don’t even ask if I submitted”
The annual ceremony which started in 2000 has grown to become the biggest event in the country.
#VGMA2018 is a Charterhouse Ghana event proudly sponsored by Vodafone and supported by YFM.
