On-screen vixen, Berla Mundi born Berlinda Addardey and Ace actor John Dumelo warmed the hearts of patrons who thronged the Accra International Conference Center after they exhibited their flawless rap and dance skills.
John Dumelo proved beyond doubt that he possesses the lyrical prowess to compete his female counterpart, Berla Mundi.
The actor knelt in front of the patrons exhibiting his rap skills with the lyrics, ‘yeah, V8, Onaapo, 1212121’, while shaking his head and hands to prove that he means business.
Berla Mundi, on the other hand, borrowed Czar’s 'Araba Lawson’ track to challenge John Dumelo because she couldn’t create her own lyrics to battle him.
Patrons were shouting and screaming in anticipation of what Berla Mundi would do to win over her co-host in the rap battle but she couldn't live up to the task.
In previous years, the Starr FM/GHOne Presenter has hosted the red carpet sessions of the awards scheme. Due to her great performance, she was selected to co-host the award ceremony with John Dumelo.
The 2018 Ghana Music Awards kicked off with a red carpet hosted by Citi FM’s AJ Sarpong and Johnnie Hughes.
The event began with the glam from the Red Carpet which saw celebrities showing off their attire.
The stage looked colourful and lighting effects looked great with thrilling performances from Sarkodie, Fancy Gadam, Joe Mettle, King Promise, Samini and many others.
Ebony, Kwesi Arthur, Fancy Gadam, Samini, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Adina, Joe Mettle Shatta Wale, Davido and few others won awards. Unfortunate One Corner hitmaker, Patapaa and King Promise who broke through the music industry with a lot of expectations to win an award went home empty-handed.
