The first African signee of renowned independent Reggae Record Label, VP Records, Ghana’s multiple award-winning Reggae musician, Knii Lante has in a video narrated his musical and personal life.
The video that see the musician talk about his childhood days, songs of his role models he listened including Wulomei, Osibisa, Fela, AB Crentsil and many other African musicians.
How he was later influenced and inspired by the music of Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Abba, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Steel Pulse, Babyface and others.
His transition through high school and medical school and how his musical talents began to unfold; also, he spoke about friends and local his mentors, Nat Azu (Impromptu) and Roots Anabo, who has encouraged him to start writing and record his music.
He also talks about his songs and awards he has won and nominations he has earned.
And finally ‘True Feelings’, is a 12-track album with songs as ‘Baby take good care’ which featured Queen Ifrica and also, Cherine Anderson, G Blunt and many other first rate Jamaican musicians.
Knii Lante, originally pronounced Nee Lantaye is a composer, guitarist, pianist, and songwriter and doubles as a Medical Doctor by profession, is best-described by many as the amazing ‘Medi-Sing’ talented musician.
