(Moscow - Russia) - Five Ghanaian students of the Modern Languages department, University of Ghana treated their audience to blissful night of African musical flavor yesterday, Friday 19th Nov. 2010 when they took part in the annual International Day of Dance and Culture at the Moscow based Pushkin Institute of Russian Language in Russia.
The students namely Rachael, Evans, Sara, Harriet and Isaac are studying Russian language at the University of Ghana and are presently in Russia on a-year-abroad Government Sponsored program to help them fraternise and build on their fluency of the Russian language.
Over 25 different countries participated in the cultural dance and exhibition including Vietnam, Mali, Ghana, Iran amongst others. The program was attended by students, parents, the academia and members of the diplomatic corps, including officials from the Ghana Mission in Moscow.
The elegantly dressed Ghanaian students performed a choreographic dance to "Wala Aboloo" an inspirational tune from the Ghanaian sensational "Soul Winners". They were congratulated by Officials from the Ghana mission as well as several of their peers from other countries for the Hall-warming sterling performance and lifting high the image of Ghana and Africa.
The students have already toured a number of interesting sites in Moscow including the Red Square (Kremlin), the seat of the Russian Presidency.
