Madam Awurama Badu, a veteran hi-life musician has died at the Effiduase Government Hospital in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti Region.

The popular hi-life musician, was the composer of the ‘Medofo Adaada Me’ hit song.

The 72-year-old, who was one of the country’s prolific musicians had ‘Komkom’, ‘Emelia’ and ‘Obaatan Refre Ne Mma’ as part of her collections.

Last year, Values for Life (VFL-Ghana), a non-governmental organisation honoured a number of female legends including; Awurama Badu as part of the event “A Night With Female Legends.”
