Renowned Kumawood actor Big Akwes has publicly declared his endorsement of John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, for the upcoming 2024 general elections.

He expressed confidence in Mahama's policies aimed at empowering the youth, making him the preferred presidential candidate in his view.

Big Akwes has called on fellow youth to rally behind Mahama and support his bid to address issues that have been neglected by the current government.

Despite potential criticism for his political stance, Big Akwes remains steadfast in advocating for the interests of the youth.

"I am not swayed by opinions regarding my political beliefs. My decisions are based on what benefits both me and the youth. That's why I am urging young people to support Mahama in the elections; I am certain he will not let them down. Mahama will work to ensure their aspirations are fulfilled," he emphasized in a Twi interview with UTV.

These statements were made during an event organized by filmmakers in solidarity with NDC's John Dramani Mahama ahead of the 2024 elections, with notable Kumawood figures like Christiana also present.
