On July 23, 2023, a group of thirteen individuals, consisting of twelve men and one woman, began a road trip from Accra to London.

The 10,000-kilometre trip saw the team, known as Wanderlust Ghana, traverse 16 countries in just 16 days by land; arriving in London on August 6, 2023.

The trip, although initially not widespread in the initial stages, blew up in the Ghanaian media in its later stage and was met with encouragement, fanfare and support from a cross-section of Ghanaians.

Fast-forward one year later and the group is at it again.

In a post on its official Facebook page, the group announced a 30,000-kilometre road trip that will take them from Accra to Paris, then Dubai, and finally to Cape Town.

Although the exact departure date will be undisclosed for security reasons, the trip is expected to begin in September.

As reported by adomonline.com, a key member of the group clarified that the trip will involve only six members and three cars.

He also listed some significant financial challenges they would face including tolls, logistics, accommodation, and food costs.

“It’s expensive, not cheap,” he noted.

Despite these hurdles, the team is determined to showcase Ghana's potential as a vibrant tourist destination.
