The head pastor of the Christ Embassy Airport City Youth Church, Enoch Boamah, has addressed the backlash he has received following the viral video of Yolo actor John Peasah, known as ‘Drogba,’ sharing testimony of healing during his miracle service.

In the video, Drogba testified to receiving miraculous healing at the church’s crusade in Accra, recounting his newfound ability to do things he had been unable to do for the past four years.

This testimony sparked varied reactions online, with some netizens celebrating his healing while others criticised it.

In response to his critics, Pastor Enoch Boamah addressed the controversy during a recent Sunday service.

He emphasised that Drogba himself expressed feeling better and clarified that the church did not prompt him to say so.

"The person said he feels better. We didn't ask him; he said he feels better. Na me put that word for ein mouth? But his testimony is bigger than this; we will share it later. That testimony is one out of the hundreds of testimonies that happened to him that night. The testimony is bigger than this; I've told him to calm down. Devil can heal like this? And we no dey follow am? It doesn't make any sense," he stated.

Pastor Boamah also responded to accusations that he was using the situation for clout, saying, "Holy Spirit bears me witness that when we closed from the miracle service that Friday night, I told the media team not to post that testimony. I told them not to post it because I am not looking for clout."

Regarding the criticism he has faced, Pastor Boamah reflected, "If you follow my teaching on the sight of God, you'd know that God doesn't count the way men count. If you're persecuted in a large way, it's proof that God has actually elevated you. Jesus said the world hates you because they hate me.

"Comparing this to the persecution in the Bible, this is nothing. People were eaten alive by lions, so what is this?"

Drogba's Miracle:

John Peasah, who has struggled with multiple health disorders, spoke to the congregation at the 'Miracle Night' crusade about his unexpected healing.

Accompanied by his sister, Peasah shared his battle with Stiff Person Syndrome, a condition causing severe muscle stiffness and difficulty in public spaces.

He noted a significant improvement after the crusade, stating, "I find it very hard to walk in public, but I feel better today. The funny thing is nobody has stiff person syndrome in Ghana; I've been trying to reach out to people but to no avail.”

Background

Recently, the actor disclosed that he is battling multiple conditions simultaneously, which has sparked public concern.

He disclosed battling sleep apnea syndrome, multiple debilitating disorders, and a Stiff Person Spectrum Disorder, a rare neurological condition that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms.

He also disclosed battling with GAD-positive cerebellar Cerebellar Ataxia, which affects his coordination and balance.

Additionally, he said he experiences constant visual challenges, tremors, and dizziness.

Gofundme appeal

About a week ago, the actor launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $280,000 for medical care overseas.

He mentioned that the high costs associated with his treatment have significantly drained his financial resources, prompting him to seek additional funding for his medical care outside the country.
