Organisers of 3music Awards after taking a refund from rapper Kwesi Arthur for failing to perform at the maiden edition of the event which happened on March 24 has said cash paid to other musicians who could not also perform on the night will not be taken back.

Sadiq Abdulai Abu, boss of 3music Network, organisers of the awards in an interview on Accra FM‘s Drive Time show Tuesday said they demanded Gh4000 as part payment given to the ‘Anthem’ hitmaker back because he proved stubborn.

He said in the conversation with Zionfelix on the ‘konkonsa’ segment of the program that the rapper failed to wait to entertain patrons on the night of the show even though they informed him he would be the second performer.

When asked if Shatta Wale, Kuami Eugene and Kidi who also did not perform on the night as advertised will be paying back their cash paid to them, Sadiq replied no.

Explaining why there will not be a reimbursement from the Zylofon Media artiste and the two Lynx Entertainment boys, he said the three acts were ready to perform the 3music Awards but the mistake they the organisers made did not allow them to put up their performance.

Kuami Eugene and Kidi he said were to perform with a live band but arrangement they made for them failed hence their inability to perform on the night.

On Shatta wale, Mr. Abdulai revealed that he traveled from the USA to Ghana for the show but a mishap on the night caused his failure to show up on stage that night hence their decision not to take a refund from him.
