A Kumasi-based newlywed couple on Saturday threw parts of the city into exhilaration when they hit the streets in ‘Pragya’ popularly known as Mahama Camboo’ or ‘Adeideta’ for their wedding.

Michael Kusi (husband), said he felt like a president when vehicles among others paved the way for them to drive through town.

“I felt like a President. In fact, I was excited.” Mr. Kusi said excitedly.
Mr. Kusi and his wife, Madam Melody sat on the pragya from Miklin Hotel through to the central business district in Kumasi, leaving onlookers marveled and impressed while others chased them to get a glimpse of the ‘daring’ couple.
“Woow! What a wedding? One of the best in weddings in town”; comments from some onlookers in the video describing the wedding as brilliantly organized.
Just three hundred cedis got them three “pragyas” for the day’s wedding which accommodated the bridal trail and the newly-wed couple.

Unperturbed by the possibility of people assuming he couldn’t afford a decent car to house his trail, Mr. Kusi said he saw it as adventurous and an occasion to make difference and create options for others.

The idea was first borne by Mr. Kusi and later endorsed by his wife who described the experience as the supreme moment in her life.

“I really enjoyed it and wish to own one.” Mrs. Melody Kusi said.
She described the tricycle as simple and nice.

Whereas deciding which transport means to use for a wedding may conventionally be the responsibility of the groom, Mrs. Kusi had to help her husband make a decision for their ride.

The couple want other young people to be free enough to take bold decisions that would favour them rather than overburden themselves and or follow the crowd.

Mr. Michael Kusi is a worker at Kumasi Senior High Technical School and an I.T tutor while the wife, Madam Melody Kusi is a business woman.
