The review of the 2019 edition of Vodafone Ghana Music Awards nominees jam which took place in the Garden City with the communication director of Charter House, George Quaye, has led him to disclose that the technical challenges they had on the night nearly prevented Burniton Music boss, Stonebwoy from performing.
Speaking on Radio Universe’s ‘Brunch2Lunch’ show with Zionfelix, George Quaye stated that the “Top Skanka” hitmaker was billed initially to perform with a live band team but because the technical hitch they had affected the ability of them to play again, Stonebwoy wouldn’t have performed.
He further disclosed that the only thing that salvaged the situation on the was Stonebwoy’s proactiveness. The celebrated media personality revealed that because Stonebwoy was fully aware that such a situation may arise, he had a contingency plan in place.
GQ revealed that while they felt he could not perform again, Stonebwoy told them he had his DJ with him and as such, he was good to go on the night and lo and behold, he went on stage and gave a good account of himself.
Charter House’s communication director also revealed that the inability of Obaapa Christy and Adina to perform on the night was also because of this same technical challenges they encountered.
