TN Records, the record label Akuapem Poloo is signed onto has announced that its support for the musician who doubles as an actress is intransigent despite the naked picture brouhaha which appears to have dented the image of the signee.
Akuapem Poloo has been vehemently criticized after she posted a nude picture with her son on his 7th birthday. In the said picture, the showbiz personality could be seen naked, squatting before her half-naked son as they held hands.
Some have argued that aside from being obscene, the act is an abuse of the child's right. The police has subsequently invited her for questioning; the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has issued a statement while lawyer Maurice Ampaw has said she could be jailed for three years.
Akuapem Poloo however insists she only meant to express herself artistically.
“I was not completely naked. He did not see my organs because I covered myself with a cloth and applied sellotapes to the necessary parts. Besides the picture was taken in my own house," she said.
In an interview with MzGee on 3FM’s Showbuzz, label boss Tic, formerly known as Tic Tac said TN Records will not turn its back on the singer.
“In everything, we are with her,” he affirmed. “We continue to give her support and we continue to believe in her because she always likes to do things in a different way.”
“Rosemond Brown is a drama queen. You know she is a drama queen. She has been doing it up till now [and] the label has no problem with it. I don’t manage the drama. That is her.”
