Weekend Movies on Viasat 1

This weekend Viasat 1 movies at 10pm are set to keep you occupied and entertained to the maximum. The leading entertainment channel is poised to air some of Hollywood’s master pieces for your sole entertainment. Starting Thursday 2nd June 2011 at 10pm Viasat 1 brings to your screen DRUMLINE, a fish-out-of-water comedy about a talented street drummer from Harlem who enrolls in a university, expecting to lead its marching band's drumline to victory. He initially flounders in his new world, before realizing that it takes more than talent to reach the top. Nick Cannon, Zoe Saldana and Orlando Jones star in this family movie.

The following night, Friday 3rd June at 10pm Ralph Fiennes and Rachael Weisz star in THE CONSTANT GARDNER. In this mystery drama piece Ralph Fiennes plays a widower who is determined to get to the bottom of a potentially explosive secret involving his wife's murder, big business, and corporate corruption. The plot takes place in a remote area of Northern Kenya, where activist Tessa Quayle (Rachael Weisz) is found brutally murdered. Tessa's companion, a doctor, appears to have fled the scene, and the evidence points to a crime of passion. Members of the British High Commission in Nairobi assume that Tessa's widower, their mild-mannered and unambitious colleague Justin Quayle, will leave the matter to them. They could not be more wrong. Haunted by remorse and jarred by rumors of his late wife's infidelities, Quayle surprises everyone by embarking on a personal odyssey that will take him across three continents. Using his privileged access to diplomatic secrets, he will risk his own life, stopping at nothing to uncover and expose the truth - a conspiracy more far-reaching and deadly than Quayle could ever have imagined.

And then on blockbuster movie of the week at 9pm Saturday 4th June Viasat 1 will air OCEAN’S 12. Set three years after "Ocean's 11," this sequel shows Danny Ocean gathering up his complete gang of con artists and thieves from the first film in New York City before they all jet off to Amsterdam, Rome, and Paris to pull off three separate heists. All the while, the boys must deal with increasing pressure from a very enraged Terry Benedict, a dedicated Europol agent with a link to Rusty's past, and a mysterious French rival known as the "Night Fox." Will Ocean's crew reach their full potential and become the greatest thieves the world has ever known, or will they fall victim to Benedict's revenge? All bets are off.

This weekend’s thrill is climaxed on Sunday 5th June with the 1997 classic movie THE JACKAL, starring Bruce Willis and Richard Gere. Russian mobster Terek Murad has declared war on the Russian militia and the United States FBI over the shooting of his brother in a Moscow nightclub. He hires "The Jackal" -- an elusive, nasty assassin -- to kill FBI Director Donald Brown. Present at the shooting of Murad's brother were FBI Deputy Director Carter Preston and Major Valentina Koslova of the Russian militia. Nearly no one has ever seen The Jackal, save for Declan Mulqueen, an imprisoned IRA sniper. Upon learning that the Director Brown is a target, Preston and Koslova enlist the services of the reluctant Mulqueen to track down the Jackal before he can assassinate Brown.
