It takes not only the musical prowess of an artiste to stay relevant for long in Ghana music industry but a formidable fans base of an artiste remains a determinant.

Citing Micheal Owusu Addo famously known as Sarkodie as a case study. His relevancy in Ghana music industry isn’t solely based on his rapping dexterity but the ‘infantry’ behind him – SarkNation.

Besides, there exists BhimNation, M.Anifans, Pa2Pa Soldiers, NKZ, etc. So, it’s obvious fan base names are becoming a thing in Ghana for virtually every Ghanaian artiste is trying to mobilise music enthusiasts who will appreciate and defend them any day.

Well, it’s obvious RuffTown records signee, Wendy Shay has come to realise the importance of having a fan base as an artiste. Therefore, she has coined “SHAYTANT” from her stage name to be the signature of her loyal fans henceforth. Simply put, if you’re fan of the “Uber Driver” hitmaker, then you’re called “shaytant” henceforth.
