The General Overseer of Potter’s City, Prophet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie, has asserted that God can influence the outcome of elections.

In a video shared by NGOSRA TV on December 12, 2024, Prophet Nanasei explained that when God chooses a leader, he can even make angels vote in the process.

Reacting to the shock of many netizens regarding how the NDC won the elections with such a huge margin, he said, "I always believe that it is not only human beings who can vote. When God decides a winner, angels can vote as well. The NDC has taken the majority of seats in parliament.

“Even in Kumasi, there are places where the NDC has won... I don't care who becomes president, but I care about the peace of this country. And God should bless Dr. Bawumia for conceding defeat," he told his congregation.

Prophet Sarkodie also shared an interesting instance during the elections when he received a call from the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, requesting special prayers before the declaration of the 2024 election results.

"I had a call from the EC, and she felt she wanted a prayer meeting. God told her to call me to pray for her. So I went with some of the pastors, and during the prayer, I told her she would announce the election results without stress. I also told her that it wasn’t advisable to hold the meeting in that location, so we took it to a neutral ground," he added.

Prior to this development, Prophet Nanasei Opoku-Sarkodie was seen prophesying that the 2024 elections would not go to a run-off and that the winner would secure a landslide victory.

"This Ghana must not go to a second round. Also, because of the desperation of people wanting to enter politics, for God to give us stability and peace, let there be a wide gap between the winner and the loser," he stated.
