Award-winning gospel musician Selina Boateng has made it known that she had many people who didn’t support her dream at the beginning, but she is grateful to God that she is really moving forward by the grace of God.
Speaking at this year’s ‘The Standpoint @ 7th anniversary' organized by GDA Concept LTD, Selina disclosed that a number of people looked down on her instead of pushing her to achieve her aim to fulfil her God-given desire for His glory.
“When I started pursuing my career, many said I wouldn’t make it but to the Glory of God I released my first album which was a blast, second one came, third one and fourth with awards. Where are my accusers? They should come see me,” she said.
The ceremony which was based on the theme “Woman, where are your Accusers,” taken from John 8: 1-11 about the adulterous woman and how she was condemned by Pharisees, which was purposed to take a critical look at the life of women who are in one way or the other accused, abused, condemned and judged badly, was the 5th edition of Gifty Anti’s Standpoint’s ‘Women called to Worship’ under the umbrella of ‘perfecting womanhood’.
The ceremony which came off at the Trinity Baptist Church saw special appearances by Rev. Mrs. Rosemond Anaba, Pastor Cynthia Oppeagye and Amanda Jissih, actress Kaliafa Asa, song ministration by Selina Boateng, Cynthia McCauley and Nana Asaase to ensure a wonderful celebration.
