According to reports, Stonebwoy and his crew ordered that Zylofon branded material be taken off the stage before he performed at an event which got Bulldog angry More details are emerging as to what led to the attempts by Zylofon Media to take away Stonebwoy's car.
Stonebwoy and Bulldog, the artiste manager at Zylofon, clashed at the Champs Bar in Accra on Saturday over a Mercedes Benz the company gave to the Dancehall artiste when they signed him last year.
Bulldog, known privately as Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, stormed the bar with some thugs leading to an altercation which ended with gunshots being fired.
"I just got off the stage at Legon [Liman Hall], and it was a super performance like I always do. So we drove over to Champs for the next event. "We were chilling in the room and then we heard bang...and cursing "I sent my little brother to go into my car to bring me my clothes or something so I can change and he met the fracas. "They hit him [my brother] on the lips, they took the car keys from him and they sat in the car...if not for my bodyguard, they would have driven my car away and that would have been something else," Stonebwoy narrated on Joy News.
Neither Bulldog nor Zylofon has so far made any statement concerning the incident but it has been reported that Bulldog took that action in retaliation to something Stonebwoy did earlier.
According to reports, Stonebwoy's team, before his performance at Legon, ordered organisers of the event to take down all Zylofon branded materials. The organisers had collaborated with Zylofon to hold this ‘Artiste Night’ and thus had materials advertising Zylofon's brand on the stage.
The Zylofon adverts were duly pulled down and even those who were wearing Zylofon t-shirts removed them for Stonebwoy to perform. Bulldog, who later came to the scene, was briefed about the situation and he got angry.
After ensuring the safety of Zylofon's properties at the place, Bulldog chased Stonebwoy to the Champs Bar with some men to take back their car from him. There have been reports of the termination of the contract between Zylofon and Stonebwoy but no official statement has been made to that effect yet.
It, therefore, comes as a surprise that Stonebwoy and his crew will ask that Zylofon branded materials be taken off the stage before he performed.
