Popular Ghanaian gospel singer, Joe Mettle, has stated that he is not prepared to collaborate with any secular artiste.

In an interview on Hitz FM on June 20, 2024, the 'Bo Noo Ni' hitmaker addressed reports claiming he had turned down an offer to collaborate with rapper Sarkodie.

Mettle explained that he has not yet received guidance from the Holy Spirit about partnering with a secular artist. Therefore, he is avoiding such collaborations for now.

He said, "Sarkodie and I discussed it. It's a door I choose not to open. When the spirit permits certain actions, there's a reason for it. But until then, I feel I can't."

Mettle also mentioned that other secular artistes, particularly rapper Manifest, have expressed interest in collaborating with him.

However, he emphasized that he would only consider collaborating with a secular artiste if he felt spiritually guided to do so.

"I have many friends; if I do it once, I'd have to do it for everyone. Manifest has been reaching out to me a lot lately. I don't understand why. We are brothers. Please don't pressure me," he said with a laugh.

"But truly, when the time is right," he added.
