Why should I spend money on such a brain? – Relationship expert slams broke, entitled women

Nigerian relationship expert, author, and child abuse activist Praise Fowowe has shared his insights on the complexities of marriage during an appearance on the Honest Brunch podcast.

Addressing widespread expectations of some women in relationships, Fowowe stated that he, in particular, cannot be with or spend on women who are struggling yet have a high sense of entitlement.

He made these statements while delving into the topic of gender roles and personal accountability in relationships.

"When I see people making statements like a man that doesn't have 30 million cannot date me, I ask them how much do they have? and if I have 30 million, why should I put it on your brain that is bringing out this kind of conversation? I will not. Intellectually we cannot be compatible. you have to be able to feed yourself and an extra mouth before we can even be in marriage together," he stated.

He added, “If I were wealthy, I certainly wouldn’t spend my money on individuals who are preoccupied with such shallow standards. It’s a glaring indication of intellectual immaturity.

Expanding on the qualities necessary for a healthy union, Fowowe stressed the importance of self-sufficiency and mutual growth.

“A woman who wants a partner to meet certain standards must herself embody those qualities. Marriage isn’t about what you can take; it’s about what you can bring. Learn to support yourself and others before stepping into the conversation about lifelong commitment,” he stated.

In a thought-provoking twist, Fowowe also contested the traditional belief that women are predominantly emotional while men are more logical.

“That’s just a lazy stereotype,” he asserted. “Emotions and logic are not gender-specific traits. Success comes to the person who knows how to balance both.”
