Techiman (B/A), Jan. 15, GNA - Madam Margaret Mensah, a 37-year-old farmer of Abanim, a suburb of the Techiman Municipality gave birth to a set of triplets, two girls and a boy at the Techiman Holy Family Hospital on January 8 this year.

Madam Mensah and the children who had already been discharged from the Hospital were doing well.

Mr Augustine Dwamena, 41, the husband disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency and said they had already had seven children made up of 3 girls and 4 boys.

Mr Dwamena, a carpenter by profess gave the breakdown of the ages of their children as 15, 13, 10, 7, 4 and twins who are two years. He disclosed that the sixth birth comprised of a set of twins being a boy and a girl at the ages of 2-years each. Mr Dwamena said the seventh delivery had surprisingly given them triplets of the 2 girls and a boy.

He was grateful to the midwives of the Techiman Holy Family Hospital for their proper handling and the care they gave to the wife resulting in their successfully delivering her of the triplets. Mr Dwamena said in order to curtail giving births to more children in future, he and the wife would resort to Family Planning methods to enable them properly cater for the children.

He passionately appealed to benevolent societies, churches and philanthropists to come to the aid of the triplets.

Mr Dwamena however, said the seven children were currently at school at various institutions, adding that, education of the children would be their prime concern.
