Disk jockeys (DJ) and MC of Ghana's number one youth orientated radio station YFM, have won in three (3) categories of awards at the just ended Ghana DJ Awards.
The three, DJ Mic Smith, DJ Edita and Kojo Manuel picked up awards in three prestigious categories they were nominated in.
DJ for the hottest drive time show in the capital, Dryve on Y FM, DJ Mic Smith dominated the night by picking up the Best DJ - Greater Accra Region Award.
The official DJ for the ‘DRYVEONY’ with Nana Quasi-Wusu and YCE show with Rham Besia, DJ Edita also grabbed the award for Best DJ - Western Region. This came as no suprise to everyone present as he DJ Edita deserved the award.
When it came to who reigns the mic at every top notch event in Ghana, Kojo Manuel of Party Pressure fame on YFM the obvious winner from the beginning won Best MC of the Year.
Commenting on the awards received by YFM staff, CEO of Global Media Alliance (GMA), Mr. Ernest Boateng said: "There is no doubt these three deserve the awards. I have personally been monitoring their progress and I have high expectations of them. This is just the beginning of yet another milestone in their careers. I encourage them to reach beyond the skies. Today, they have made GMA more proud."
The 2019 Ghana DJ Awards took place at the Accra International Conference yesterday, November 2, 2019.
The awards scheme DJ is organized annually to celebrate DJ's in Ghana for their immense contribution to the Ghanaian music industry by Merqury Republic.
